Thomas J. Field is a determined man with as explosive a capacity for work and life as his Chiropractic profession has for the people it serves. He believes you can’t cut corners to success and that there is no substitute for a thorough evaluation so as to determine the cause of the health condition and the appropriate recommendation of care. Dr. Field relates his most satisfying experience in Chiropractic is having success when other health sciences and doctors have failed. Dr. Field was raised on a farm near Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, the home of the world famous Gonstead Clinic of Chiropractic. He attended a country elementary school and high school in Mount Horeb. At the age of 18 he was invited to work and study at the Gonstead Clinic. He subsequently fell in love with the Gonstead method of chiropractic and spent several years working and studying at the Gonstead Clinic. Pre-med education was done in Madison, Wisconsin and in 1979 Dr. Field graduated Magna cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa with a doctor of chiropractic degree.Following graduation from Palmer College, Dr. Field was accepted into a highly specialized roentgenology residency at National College in Lombard, Illinois. The roentgenology residency accepted one person per year. Duties consisted of teaching radiology classes in the curriculum, reading x-rays from four different clinics and doing research involving full spine x-rays that yielded a better quality image for the doctor at a reduced level of radiation for the patient. The research results were professionally published in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics. Dr. Field has also published articles in the Journal of the American Chiropractic Association and the Roentgen Briefs Publication of The Council on Roentgenology of the American Chiropractic Association. The father of two beautiful young girls, Dr. Field’s personal interests include aviation, archery, organic gardening, and mountaineering sports. He spent 7 years manufacturing a type of airplane called a Long-EZ and holds a private pilot license with an instrument rating, which he uses to travel for business and pleasure. Dr. Field is a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association, Gonstead Clinical Studies Society, Olecranon Flexion Foundation, and Pi Tau Delta International Chiropractic Honor Society. He holds licenses to practice chiropractic in Florida and Wisconsin.
